Tesla bumper and headlight version checks — radar, camera and sensor brackets change the number
A front bumper for a Model Y is not one part, and neither is a Model 3 headlamp. They are families of saleable references separated by equipment that has nothing to do with how the part looks in a photograph: whether the car carries parking-assist sensors at that corner, whether the fascia is supplied with the brackets that hold them, whether the shell has sensor holes at all, whether the market is ECE or SAE, and whether the part arrives primed or bare. Get any of those wrong and you do not have a fitting problem — you have a part that cannot be made correct, discovered after it has been painted. This page is about identifying the version before the order goes in, not about fitting anything.
1. The front fascia pair that proves the point
The cleanest example in GNSGO's own index is the 1493736 family.
| Reference | Recorded name | Application |
|---|---|---|
| 1493736-S0-A | Front Fascia Unpainted With Parking Assist Brackets | Model Y |
| 1493736-SC-A | Front Bumper Primed | Model Y (2020–2024) |
Same base, same revision letter, different middle code, and both halves of the description matter. "With Parking Assist Brackets" tells you what is included in the saleable item. "Unpainted" and "Primed" tell you what state the surface arrives in — and neither is a colour. The rear of the same vehicle repeats the pattern exactly: 1493735-S0-A Rear Fascia Unpainted With Parking Assist Brackets against 1493735-SC-A Rear Bumper Primed for Model Y (2020–2024).
Model 3 has its own recorded versions: 1084168-S0-E Front Fascia Unpainted Service for Model 3 (2017–2023), 1108905-S0-A Rear Fascia Unpainted Service for the same application, 1083983-SC-A Rear Bumper Primed for Model 3 (2017–2023) and 1519965-SC-B Front Bumper Cover for Model 3.
Facelift Model 3 adds further recorded variants: 1694314-SC-E Front Upper Fascia Assembly — Base for Model 3 (2024–) and 1694314-SC-G, the same description without an application line in our data; 1582571-SC-C Rear Bumper for Model 3 (2024–) and 1582571-SC-D Rear Upper Fascia Unpainted. There is also a trim-level split: 1818915-SC-E is recorded as Front Bumper Performance for Model 3 (2024–). "Performance" is not a colour code either.
2. "Without sensor holes" is the version, said out loud
Some references carry the version difference in plain words, which is the most useful thing a parts record can do. 1034804-S0-E is recorded as Rear Bumper — Without Sensor Holes for Model X, and 1101560-00-A is recorded as Rear Bumper — With Sensor Holes, also Model X. Two references, one position, and the difference is whether the shell has openings for the parking sensors.
That is the whole argument in one line: a fascia without the required openings cannot serve a car that has the sensors, and a fascia with openings is wasted on one that does not. It is not something that can be trimmed, filled or drilled into correctness at the paint shop. The same logic is visible in the fascia harness: 1067958-00-G is recorded as Harness Assembly, Front Fascia, Premium Fascia Lamps, while 1067958-01-G is recorded as Assembly Harn FR Fascia Without Fascia Lamp. Both are Model 3 (2017–2023). The harness record is telling you the fascia exists in at least two equipment states — and the harness itself is a separate line on the order.
3. Brackets and retainers are their own purchases
Everything that mounts to the fascia is a separate reference in our records, and the mounting hardware is where a "bumper" order most often goes short.
| Reference | Recorded name | Application |
|---|---|---|
| 1088489-00-A | Front Bumper Radar Sensor Bracket S1–S6 | Model 3 (2017–2023) |
| 1493754-00-A | Front Bumper Radar Sensor Bracket S1–S6 | Model Y (2020–2024) |
| 1501433-00-A | Rear Bumper Radar Sensor Bracket S7–S12 | Model Y (2020–2024) |
| 1088436-00-A | S1 Pa Retainer Front Fascia | Model 3 |
| 1088442-00-A | S7 Pa Retainer Rear Fascia | Model 3 |
| 1088447-00-A | S12 Pa Retainer Rear Fascia | Model 3 |
| 1103760-00-C | Fem Radar Brkt | Model 3 |
| 1500123-00-B | ACC Sensor Bracket | Model Y (2020–2024) |
The brackets are recorded by sensor position — S1 through S6 at the front, S7 through S12 at the rear — and the retainers are recorded the same way. Twelve sensor positions, twelve retainers, and none of them is "a bracket". The sensors are separate again: 1099611-00-D Radial Unpainted Parking Assist Sensor (High Performance) and 1100297-00-D Radial Unpainted Parking Assist Sensor, both listed across Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X. "High Performance" versus standard is another version split hiding inside a sentence.
Replacing a bumper also means the beam, absorber and shields behind it are separate lines: 1104667-00-K Front Bumper Beam Assembly for Model 3 (2017–2023), 1104669-00-F Bumper Beam Foam, 1487605-CN-A Front Bumper Energy Absorber for Model Y (2020–2024), 1487616-00-A Rear Bumper Beam Assembly, 1613579-00-C Front Bumper Lower Shield for Model Y (2020–2024) and 1453774-00-D for Model 3 (2017–2023).
4. The small covers that decide whether the fascia is right
Tow hook and trailer hitch covers are ordered far more often than estimators expect, and they differ by position, model year and trim.
- 1493746-00-A Tow Hook Cover — Front Fascia; 1494426-00-A Tow Hook Cover — Rear Fascia.
- 1818917-00-C Front Tow Hook Cover — Model 3 (2024–); 1084173-00-E Front Bumper Tow Eye Cover.
- 1494009-00-B Trailer Hitch Cover Assembly — Rear Fascia Base; 1932605-00-C Trailer Hitch Cover Assembly — Base.
- 1493759-00-A Grille — Front Fascia and 1493760-00-A Valance — Front Fascia; 1085927-00-C Front Bumper Grille for Model 3 (2017–2023).
"Tow hook cover" alone is four different references in the list above.
5. Headlamps: ECE, SAE and Global, and the bracket is separate
The lamp market split is recorded directly in the names.
| Reference | Recorded name | Application |
|---|---|---|
| 1077375-00-C | Headlamp Assembly, ECE, Left Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023) |
| 1077376-00-C | Headlamp Assembly, ECE, Right Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023) |
| 1077371-00-L | Headlamp Assembly SAE Up-Level Left Hand | — |
| 1077372-00-J | Headlamp Assembly SAE Up-Level Right Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023) |
| 1514952-00-C | Hd/lp Assembly Global Left Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023), Model Y (2020–2024) |
| 1514952-00-D | Headlight Assembly Overall Left Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023), Model Y |
| 1514953-00-C | Hd/lp Assembly Global Right Hand | Model 3 (2017–2023), Model Y (2020–2024) |
A European car needs the ECE side of that split, and "Global" is its own recorded family, not a synonym for either. Up-Level versus Base is another recorded split — 1077389-00-E Lamp Assembly Fascia Lamp SAE Base Left Hand is explicitly a Base lamp.
The mounting brackets are separate references and they follow the same split: 1453375-00-A SAE Headlamp Fascia Bracket Left Hand and 1453376-00-A Right Hand for Model 3 (2017–2023); 1453377-00-A ECE Headlamp Fascia Bracket Left Hand and 1453378-00-A Right Hand for Model 3 and Model Y; 1812092-00-A Global Headlamp Fascia Bracket Left Hand and 1812093-00-A Right Hand for Model 3 (2017–2023). The lamp bracket family also shows how a shared base can describe completely different physical scope — 1077371-10-B is a headlight bracket, not a lamp, which is covered in more detail in reading Tesla part numbers.
Fog lamp brackets are side- and size-specific too: 1089447-00-A Fog Lamp Bracket Small Left Hand for Model 3 (2017–2023), 1493741-00-A Fog Lamp Bracket Large Left Hand and 1493748-00-A Small Left Hand for Model Y (2020–2024).
6. Primed and unpainted is a cost line, not a footnote
Sixteen references in GNSGO's index carry Unpainted or Primed in the recorded name. The fascia families above are most of them; the rest are mirror skull caps — 1092290-00-D and 1092292-00-D for Model 3 (2017–2023), 1495593-00-A and 1963538-00-B elsewhere in the range — plus facelift entries such as 1932380-00-F Front Fascia Service Unpainted Base and 1932601-00-F / 1932602-00-F Rear Upper Fascia Base Left and Right Hand, Unpainted.
Every one of them arrives without the vehicle's colour. Material, masking and labour for finishing belong on the estimate at quotation stage, not as a correction later. "Primed" is not "ready to fit".
7. What to send, so the version is settled once
Send the VIN, the side, the market (ECE or SAE), and — if the old part is still reachable — a photograph of any moulded or printed number on it. Then answer three questions in the message itself: does the car have parking sensors at that corner, does it have a tow hitch, and is it Base, Up-Level or Performance trim. That is the difference between one shipment and two.
Short answers
Are the S0 and SC fascia references interchangeable?
No. In our records 1493736-S0-A is supplied unpainted with parking assist brackets and 1493736-SC-A is a primed bumper. Different contents, different finish state.
What does "without sensor holes" actually mean?
Exactly what it says: the shell has no openings for the parking sensors. 1034804-S0-E is the recorded "without" version and 1101560-00-A the "with" version. Check the car's equipment before ordering.
Is a primed bumper ready to fit?
No. Primed is a preparatory surface. Colour matching and finishing are still required and still cost money.
Do I need to order the sensor brackets separately?
Yes. They are separate references — 1088489-00-A for Model 3 front, 1493754-00-A for Model Y front, 1501433-00-A for Model Y rear — as are the S1–S12 retainers.
ECE or SAE — does it matter for a European car?
Yes. 1077375-00-C and 1077376-00-C are the recorded ECE pair. The SAE and Global families are separate recorded references for a reason.
Will a new bumper or lamp need calibration work afterwards?
Often yes, if the car carries cameras or radar at that position. Where such a unit sits behind the panel being replaced, a calibration step follows the repair, and it belongs on the estimate as a separate scope and a separate line rather than as a correction discovered afterwards.
Where this comes from.
The references quoted above are taken from GNSGO's own parts index for China-built and China-sourced Tesla parts — the same list at Tesla compatible parts — OE reference index. The equipment information quoted on this page is taken from the vehicle itself, from the VIN and from photographs of the fitted part, not from Tesla's workshop documentation; we have not drawn on that documentation and we do not reproduce any manual pages. Version differences described here are observed patterns across our own records, not claimed official definitions from Tesla. Availability and application are confirmed per enquiry against the complete OE number and, where it matters, the VIN. Where GNSGO does not hold a data point, we say so rather than filling the gap with a plausible figure.
