U101287 — Parking aid lost communication
Quick answer
U101287 indicates that the gateway has lost communication with the parking aid controller, so the parking sensors and automatic parking stop working.
What to check first
- Read all stored fault codes with a scan tool and deal with related codes first.
- Check whether other modules on the same network also report communication faults; one module offline can set codes in several others.
- Check the 12 V battery state of charge and terminals; a weak 12 V supply causes many electronic faults.
Symptoms you may notice
- Parking sensors do not respond
- Auto-parking unavailable
- U101287 stored in the gateway
- Parking aid display blank or faulting
Can I still drive?
Usually drivable — have it checked soon. If in doubt, park the car and ask a technician — a fault that limits power or shuts the high-voltage system down will not clear by itself.
