P109000 — Parking brake lock not confirmed
Quick answer
P109000 indicates that the vehicle controller did not get confirmation that the electronic parking brake locked, so the parking brake may not hold the car.
What to check first
- Read all stored fault codes with a scan tool and deal with related codes first.
- High-voltage system: do not open or disconnect high-voltage components. Refer the car to a technician qualified for high-voltage work.
Can I still drive?
Have it inspected before further driving. If in doubt, park the car and ask a technician — a fault that limits power or shuts the high-voltage system down will not clear by itself.
Parts that fix P109000
Confirm the reference against your VIN before ordering — the same fault can sit in different hardware depending on the build.
