XPeng Is Not Selling Cars in Europe

XPeng Is Not Selling Cars in Europe. It’s Assembling a Local Operating System. XPeng is doing something structurally different. It’s not building a sales channel. It’s assembling the pieces of a local operating system — and the sequence is the story.

The anchor number: three vehicle models — G6, G9, and P7+ — already in production at Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. A fourth project was added in June 2026.(Source: XPeng and Magna Steyr public announcements, 2025–2026)Look at where XPeng is strong: Norway, Denmark, Germany.

Look at how the growth is distributed: Denmark took three years to reach 5,000 units, then just thirteen months to double to 10,000. Germany is the third market nearing the 10,000 mark.

The local operating system is being built piece by piece:- Production: Magna Steyr in Graz — three models, fourth coming- R&D: Munich center, opened September 2025 — focused on local roads, local regulations, local user habits- Charging: Plugsurfing — access to over 940,000 charge points across 27 countries, no self-built network- Distribution: local dealer groups, not a company-owned retail network — International Motors in the UK, Inchcape in Finland, expanding dealer coverage in GermanyXPeng’s European service network is thin.

Dealers handle warranty and light repair. Magna builds the cars, but Magna doesn’t run the aftermarket. The parts chain for XPeng vehicles in Europe is still shallow,The independent aftermarket is watching this.
