Xiaomi Recruits European Dealers 18 Months Early

Xiaomi Is Recruiting Dealers 18 Months Before Its First European Delivery. That’s the Signal. Xiaomi Auto has officially gone live with its first international website. No cars for sale yet.

Q3 or Q4 2027 — Xiaomi’s stated European market entry window, with Germany as the first market, followed by France and Italy, and right-hand-drive markets like the UK in 2028.(Source: Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing, earnings call and public statements)Most automakers entering a new market start dealer recruitment six to nine months before launch.

Enough time to sign partners, find showroom locations, train sales staff, and open doors. Xiaomi is starting eighteen months early. A dealer in Germany doesn’t just sell cars. They stock parts, manage warranty claims, handle recall logistics, and serve as the first line of aftermarket contact.

If you recruit them early, you can train them properly. The international site showcases four products: Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, SU7 Ultra prototype, SU7 Ultra, and SU7. No YU7. No Pengcheng series. This matters for parts planning. A narrow product line means concentrated parts demand.

If Xiaomi sells 20,000 SU7s in Germany in year one, those 20,000 cars all need the same brake components, the same body panels, the same headlamp assemblies. That’s actually easier for the aftermarket to prepare for than a fragmented multi-model lineup.

The brand asset is real, but the aftermarket asset still has to be built. Xiaomi is already a known brand in Europe. Phones, wearables, smart home devices. The Xiaomi retail presence in Europe is real. That helps with consumer awareness. But a phone brand does not translate into a service network.

The question for European aftermarket professionals:For independent distributors, workshop networks, and parts wholesalers — do you know which dealer groups are signing with Xiaomi in Germany? Do you have a read on their parts distribution model? Direct import from China? European warehouse? Third-party logistics?
