Shanghai Huizhong Wins a National Smart Factory Title
Shanghai Huizhong earned a “National Excellent Smart Factory” title last month. The more interesting part: it’s bringing that factory to Serbia. Shanghai Huizhong Automotive Manufacturing (SHAC) — China’s largest passenger vehicle chassis supplier — was named a National Excellent Smart Factory.
The Anting base runs a full digital twin of its production floor. Real-time mapping. Millisecond-level equipment failure alerts. A dual-algorithm APS system that generates optimized production plans in five minutes. AI-driven electrophoretic coating that self-adjusts chemical dosing.
A 10-billion-record quality traceability system linking every weld parameter, every coating thickness, every assembly torque across the full product lifecycle. Novi Sad, Serbia. Late 2025, SHAC opened its first European plant — 19,000 square meters, fully automated, €40 million investment, entirely self-funded.
Zero government subsidies. BMW’s Senior VP of Procurement attended the opening. Currently serving BMW and Volkswagen. SHAC has publicly stated that the intelligent manufacturing system proven at Anting will be replicated across all its domestic plants — and exported to its overseas facilities.
You can open a factory anywhere. You can only replicate a manufacturing operating system if you’ve actually built one. SHAC has. And it’s bringing it to Europe.
