Shipping restrictions on Aiways parts
Not every part can fly. Aiways' range includes lithium battery components, gas-filled struts and pyrotechnic safety devices — each with a different air-freight rule. Knowing the class of your part before you order avoids surprises on the delivery leg.
The three restricted classes

1. Lithium battery and high-voltage parts
211 references in this index involve lithium battery content or high-voltage connection. These are dangerous goods (Class 9 in transport terms). They require a DG declaration, UN-certified packaging, and are normally shipped by sea. Expect longer lead times and higher handling fees than standard parts. Never assume a battery part will travel by express air — it will not.
2. Gas-filled struts and dampers
22 references are gas-charged (tailgate struts and similar). Pressurised components are restricted on air freight and may need special handling or sea routing. The part itself is fine; the transport class is the constraint.
3. Pyrotechnic safety devices
10 references are airbag modules and seatbelt pretensioners containing pyrotechnic charges. These are prohibited on passenger aircraft in most jurisdictions and travel by sea through certified dangerous-goods channels only. Delivery time is driven by the DG routing, not by the part itself.
4. How to know which class your part is
- Every part page in this index that has a restriction shows it in the spec table and the direct answer block.
- If a page has no shipping flag, the part is standard cargo and can go by express air.
- When in doubt, ask: "is this part DG-classed?" GNSGO confirms transport class at inquiry stage.
5. What it means for your order
A mixed order containing one lithium part does not become all-DG — each line is handled by its own class, and GNSGO quotes freight per line or consolidates by class. For urgent body or trim parts, order them separately from HV and pyrotechnic parts so the standard-cargo lines can fly while the DG lines go by sea.
